Ok,

After a lengthy hiatus the Third Dimension is back with this issue entitled reborn.

Now basically the reason behind not submitting an issue in the last few weeks can be summed up by the following excerpt by 10am

Ok,
So here I am tryin to get The Third Dimension magazine going again after some forced breaks due to health issues, and what do I find?

THAT THERE IS NEXT TO NO NEW ARTWORKS BEING SUBMITTED!

Now, i'm not sure - I think alot of it stems from the severe LACK of a DEDICATED staff member for 3D, which has been a problem for around 5 months now.
Honestly, it's not very confidence inspiring.

The rate of DD features for 3D has gone down to maybe 1-2 a week, while rates of feature in other categories are up around 4-7.

But this isn't going to change if we don't start producing artworks now! I am unfortunately unable to due to technical problems right now, but I sure as hell will when It all gets sorted, and it's up to you the artists to take back the spotlight and reaffirm 3D as the art of the future.

To all new 3D artists, try your hand at abstract, modeling, terragen stuff - you only get better through practice.

I will work on creating more and more tutorials so we can make a push back and get noticed again, also write in to admin requesting the appointment of a Gallery Director for 3D, frankly I think we're all sick of waiting.

Lets go get it back people!

Love,
10am.

Now, since that journal was published, the positive response I have garnered from concerned and downright peturbed 3D artists has been touching, many have gone as far to suggest artists for the role of GD, something which shows the ferocity with which these artists cry out for recognition. Also, the return of moonbeam13 from her break should bring the appointment of a new GD for the 3D gallery or so I have been told, so for this we wait excitedly and pray that once again we are not let down in this regard.

So keep at it artists, it looks like we have to just get up and dust ourselves off and keep on producing kick ass artwork!

Anyways, here is a selection of 7 artworks from the past month.

This artwork is in a style I just love, it works so well with the render and the colours fit in perfectly, a wonderful collaboration which deserves a visit and a fav.

Such a vibrant piece, in the vein of some of Alpha's work of late. excellent use of colour and placement make this a sure thing to be featured in this issue.

Just look at the artists name, need I say more?
Probly not but I will - such excellent modelling, even down to the plants etc behind it, this guy executes all his work with a professional flair that many can only dream about. Truly inspirational!

Zbella by jrulier
When I went hunting for images for this issue - I wanted to find something unique and different, and I found it in Zbella by jrulier which sowcases a small portion of this artists talent! Truly worth a closer look!

Oh my god - how yummy does this image look? The answer if you were wondering is very. The sex that this image exudes would put Chuck Norris, Ron Jeremy and Paris Hilton to shame even if they were all rolled into one humongous sex monster. End of story. :)

Hah, been such a while since I last spoke to my mate BDK, but he's only improved - now throwing out some top notch renders and some scarily good looking meshes with photos and renders. An excellent artist to check out!

This artist will officially now design my house - perfectly rendered and executed and a pleasure to behold. I think i'll let your eyes do the rest.

Well thats it for this return edition of TTD, stay tuned for a celebration issue should the 3D gallery finally get a new GD!

Love,
10am
